ELA SUMMER PROJECTS
To our Incoming Fourth Grade Parents and Students,
The summer assignments are madatory as your child will earn two grades in Reading. We strongly suggest that your child does not wait until the end of the summer to complete this work. These assignments reflect the non fiction/fiction Common Core Curriculum. Any questions, feel free to contact us via our email addresses. They are available under our respective homework pages. Both projects are due on Friday, September 13th. Any late projects will result in a -10 points out of 100 points for each day the project(s) are late. No exceptions will be made. We encourage parental support and supervision but expect to see your child's work. Let your child choose a book project that they will enjoy completing, learn from and they will enjoy sharing with the class. We want to see their BEST work!
*Please make sure your child has a copy of Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume on the first day of school- September 9th. We will begin reading this chapter book in class. Thank you for your cooperation.
We look forward to meeting you all on September 5th 5:30-6:00PM at our Back to School Night Meeting.
Regards,
Mrs. Belford & Mrs. Martin
